About me
Hello, my name is Lamonte Lyons, Class of 2025 here at Wesleyan University through the Posse Veterans Program. My academic interests will focus on being a Theater Major, with a minor in Education Studies. While on campus my extracurricular activities include being one of the student managers for the Men’s Basketball Team, along with being a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans or DAV, in the community of Middletown, Connecticut.
As a student I like to engage in bridging the veteran community here on campus with the involvement of traditional students to integrate the two environments for a richful college experience.
In the Spring semester of 2023, I helped organize the first ever Salute to Service for the Men’s basketball game vs. Williams. There were over 30 veterans from the community of Middletown and the veterans here on campus as veterans were honored during halftime. Being a student here at Wesleyan presents some many opportunities to communicate with faculty, students, and my fellow veterans.
